Group Kickboxing

Group Kickboxing is a martial arts skill based group workout class. In the beginner’s level class, you will learn the basics of kicking and punching and how to generate power while maintaining balance. In the mixed level class, you’ll learn more advanced kicks and punches and learn how to put them together in combinations. In both classes, you will hit pads, paddles and shields that your partner holds for you. Hitting things make a kickboxing workout a lot more fun and you’ll burn a lot more calories. Since you hit this equipment, you must make it to the first class of your first series in order to learn how to kick and punch safely. This is a high energy, fun class, so bring a towel and water bottle. This is not a self-defense course.

Instructor

TIM WANG is the founder and director of the Three Pillars Wellness Center. He teaches the Tai Chi classes and has been practicing since 1995. His college background is in Polymer Engineering but hasn't been in that field for a long time. Since 1992, he has been a full time Personal Fitness Trainer and Shiatsu Massage Therapist. As a continuation of his long-term work with his massage and training clients, he became a Life Coach in 1999 and is a CoachU graduate. The Three Pillars Wellness Center is an extension of Tim's passion for teaching people how to connect with their bodies and live happily in them, and how a healthy body is one component of a healthy, well-balanced life.
